Love Finds A Home

I found this still from the film, and I just love the back ground. Yeah that’s me in the funny hat. But the background, you can feel the dust and the smells. The woman sweeping the porch. I love the composition. There’s so much motion in the still that photo is no longer a still.   lfh

Online is not as it appears. Dating in LA from a man’s point of view.

My online dating experiment has two weeks left, before I go off-line or maybe try another site. Curious to see the difference in sites.  Online is not a comfortable fit for me, since I can’t see the person’s reaction to what I write, I have no idea if it is making a good impression. Probably no impression. What’s the percentage of communication that is non verbal? Ninety percent or something. Online I have no idea if I’m making a girl laugh. Non verbal communication is most of the fun, the eye contact and all. Seeing if she begins to touch my arm, play with her hair. If she frowns, looks away, then I know it’s time to eject. By the way most guys can not pick up on a woman’s body language.  I wonder if online dating is different in other cities? It must.  I guess I’m going to have to go out to bars and other spots more. What I really want to do is leave Los Angeles and go back to my hometown of New York. Work keeps me here. Well I can’t blame the city. It’s up to me. But people do become a product of their environment, and everyone is so guarded here. I absolutely understand why. It’s one tough joint.  What if I meet a girl out and just read her my profile and all the questions it asks on there-you know, have kids, want kids, interests, what are you looking for in a date. A woman would think I’m nuts. Not online it’s all there or is it?
