I Couldn’t Tease Her Over A Spider.

Image

The other night at work a hostess, who will remain anonymous came close to freaking out, well, she sort of did over a spider that was outside of the glass doors, where I was standing. I saw her pointing and mouthing the word “spider,” but when I looked to where she was pointing I couldn’t see anything, I shrugged and she freaked out more. Then, I saw the culprit and was shocked by her panic reaction over such a small critter. The spider could have danced on the head of a needle. Judging by the terror in her eyes it might as well have been a dinosaur. The hostess had retreated a few steps, and I knew I had to take the critter out or else she would have fled in the other direction. I stepped on the critter. The hostess clapped and smiled big and sorta bounced up on tip-toe. Later I had to say, come on that spider was tiny and it was outside. No, she said, it had long legs and was creepy. To her it was a dinosaur. It took everything in me not to tease her and scare her, but I just couldn’t. She’s really nice to me.
